I thought disassembly would simply be unscrewing the base, cleaning up the base and spout, install a new diverter, and spout o-ring kit, then reassemble. Ha... Ha! I spent over 5.5 hours completely removing the faucet, cleaning up the corroded pieces, having to horse really stuck parts and doing the finally cleaning. I took my time on the assembly to lubricate o-rings and threads on the metal parts. The assembly went well, but I found a part I will need to order and replace, it is plastic that screws onto a brass component and the threads are not in great shape. I am glad I did not have to pay a plumber to do the work, it would have cost more than a new faucet.

Aerator could not be removed with fingers or strap wrench. A vise grip wrench was successful . It scratched the old corroded aerator ring, but I was replacing it anyway.
