Product Information

Description:

This is an authentic Craftsman replacement part. The blade adapter is designed by the manufacturer for use in lawn tractors and lawn mowers. This part is made of metal, and is used in connecting the mower blade to the base of the mower deck. You will require a nut when replacing this part. It is advisable when removing multiple parts to keep careful track of their order so they can be reassembled correctly. This item is sold individually.

Bearing carrier had failed, rebuilding mower deck

Still a work in progress. Mower deck had been taken apart and who knows where the old parts went.(Recieved it that way). Keep finding out there are more parts missing as the project goes on. Ereplacement Parts has been a life saver. If not for diagrams and having the missing parts the job probably wouldn't have been continued!

loose blade stripped threads on shaft

had to remove the mower deck to replace the shaft and reinstall deck

Jackshaft bearings came apart, wrecking the other parts used in the repair.

Removed pulley, wrecked jackshaft housing, splined shaft, spacer, and blade adapter.
Cleaned all deck surfaces.
Reassembled jackshaft housing, splined shaft, spacer and blade adapter.
Installed the assembly on the mower deck, using original mounting bolts.
Installed pulley on top of assembly, and blade below the deck.
Threaded the belt through all the pulleys, making sure the tension was good.
Started up, and began mowing.
